Taking into account my experience in teaching literature to BA and MA students, and the rapid change in my students’ reading habits (electronic versions of novels and essays tend to replace, to a great extent, paper books in the recent years), I am most interested in WG3. It would be useful to me, as a teacher of literature, but also to my students, to see in what ways emotional and experiential aspects of literary reading are altered and affected by the digital reading devices, especially in a country such as Romania, where the outstanding internet traffic speed allows users (especially young people) to have permanent access to digitized information. The results of such research would also benefit the larger academic community, in a period of substantial changes in reading habits. The emotional level of such changes is most relevant, when it comes to teaching literature. To conclude, I am confident that research on the experiential and emotional aspects of reading could have a positive impact on teaching literary texts.
