Associate professor at the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Valencia, Spain. His research deals mainly with text comprehension on digital environments, with a special focus on development, assessment and instruction. To this end, he has extensively used log-file data from students’ navigation to predict their comprehension, as well as eye-tracking to uncover complex strategic behaviors, such as use of scanning and deep processing strategies, the use of advance organizers to support navigation or the analysis of search engine results pages. His publication record is available at: http://tinyurl.com/lsalmeron
I would like to investigate how the different digital reading strategies evolve across middle and high school, and how different (digital) reading formats affect the way students use texts (and how this relates to their learning, motivation and other psychological aspects).
